Announcement from QuexSolutions CEO Sarwar Uriakhil

If you followed the tech news today, it’s likely you heard about the massive Cloudflare data breach.

For those that didn’t, they discovered a bug that potentially leaked sensitive data from customers' websites.

To put it simply, if you use Cloudflare on your website, it’s possible sensitive information (such as WordPress admin credentials, other usernames, passwords, etc.) could have been exposed.

To make things even worse, some of this information was getting indexed in search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo, etc.

As of this writing, I have no evidence of any QuexSolutions customer being effected. However, if you do use Cloudflare, there is a chance data could have been exposed.

Given the fact that the main QuexSolutions website uses Cloudflare, now would be a perfect time to update your passwords and also enable two-factor authentication.

Nowadays with the number of security breaches and threats, two-factor is one of the “for sure” ways to make sure you’re protected.

How To Enable Two-Factor Authentication

* First, download the Google Authenticator App on your mobile device (iOS | Google Play)

* Next, login to the QuexSolutions Client Area

* Go to Security Settings

* Click the green button to Enable

You can then scan the QR code with your mobile device, enter the confirmation code, and then two-factor authentication will be active on your account.

As I said, there is no evidence or indication that any data was leaked from QuexSolutions, nor our customers, but it’s always best to be proactive to these type of situations and a good reminder to update and change passwords frequently.
